Rosefinch #1 – Free Embroidery Transfer Pattern
For this new design, I returned once again to a bird motif — Rosefinch #1.
My embroidery transfer patterns have quietly grown in popularity, and the Robin design continues to be the most downloaded pattern on the entire blog.
It’s still a little surprising to me, but I’m grateful that these small motifs are finding their way into so many stitchers’ hands.
So, for this update, I wanted to offer another gentle bird to accompany the others in the series.
Soft Pink Feathers and a Quiet Branch
Rosefinches have a warm, rosy charm that feels both delicate and bright.
For this design, I focused on creating a calm outline that allows the soft pink tones to stand out without becoming too complex.
The motif is simple enough to adapt to any stitching style — clean lines, textured details, or subtle shading with your favorite threads.
As always, the pattern includes the outline drawing and suggested DMC colors.
There are no step‑by‑step stitch instructions, giving you the freedom to choose the techniques you enjoy most.

A Gentle Palette
The suggested DMC colors include a mix of warm browns, soft grays, and rosy pinks —
tones such as 939, 3790, 452, 3371, 3860, 453, 938, 611, 3024, 3031, 3726, 24, 8, 3861, 23, 315, 840, 7, 3888, 7.
They create a natural, peaceful look that suits the rosefinch beautifully.
Feel free to adjust the palette to match your own style or the project you have in mind.
